2012 Movie -- "We were Warned"

Movie 2012. Hmmm...initiate I have no interested on this movie as I not prefer to watch the type of disaster movie as seem like human can't control everything and totally depends on the god. This type of movie normally sure end with unhappy ending so I don't like it. We go movie is just for relax and enjoy one but this kind of movie will make me feel sad after watch as everything seem like will be gone for sure...haih...sigh...
However, until i received a forward mail from a friend pertaining to 2012 Movie on the End of the World. The marvelous shots of the mail make me reconsider this movie and the mail said this is most awaited movie of the year and "this movie can turn into reality and predictions can turn up to be true. How true is it? I think none of us have the answer for that...

What a horrific disaster view! Where should we hide? Where would be safe for us? Maybe none, maybe....

Coffee Island At Gurney Drive, Penang

Have a drink at Coffee Island, Gurney Drive last Saturday with my lovely friends and sister who back from KL. Actually is the second Leng’s birthday celebration. Hahaha…how come got second time? As first time was too early and she didn’t cut any of cake so this time we had a cake for her and take this opportunity to meet all of them as nowadays hard to gather with them as all got their stuff to busy with.

Hmmm….talk about Coffee Island. Actually already been there for few time. Overall, I feel there was not bad as variety of food and I like the environment as very suitable for gathering and chit chat with friends. You can either choose indoor or outdoor. Indoor are suitable for those who prefer air-con condition with warm lighting and outdoor are suit for those who like to enjoy the sea view with open cold wind.
For me, is depends on mood of the day...heheh

Mango Juice (RM 4.90) - Hmmmm...among all, this one is the most not good as tasteless =(

Oreo Milk Chocolate (RM 7.90) -- I like this as the oreo taste was very thick. I like oreo. Hehe...
Ice Mocha (RM 5.90) Wholemeal Tuna Sandwich (RM3.60)
Penang Fried Koay Teow (RM7.50) -- Just a normal fried koay teow but taste not bad

Cia Xiang SeaFood Restaurant

From Ginna's blog, we had decided to have it a try for Leng's birthday celebration last weekend. Due to hard to arrange time for all our lovely friends, so forced to celebrate slightly earlier for Leng's birthday. Hmmm...i think around 2 weeks ahead. Feel so " pai seh" to her ya. Hope she don't mind about that. Hehe...

Ok, back to the foods at Cia Xiang. Overall I satisfy with the food as some dish that we ordered was yummy and the way they cooked was unique. If you like seafood, I think Cia Xiang is the one that worthy for you to have it a try.

Drink that we orderedClaypot Crab Rice 蟹王香饭 (4 Crabs RM86) -- This dish is the most famous in Cia Xiang. Maybe Im not really like crab so i don't think the taste very very nice as I like the other dish the most...heheh Big Crab -- If you like crab then don't miss out this....
Steam Fish 菜蒲蒸鱼尾 (RM56) -- I quite like this as the fish was fresh enough and got the "hor fun" hide under the fish. Hmmm....nice...
Prawn with Coconut 雪地藏龙 (RM45) -- This dish was absolutely yummy. I like it so muchie. First I like the prawn and second the combination was just perfect. Just know that it can be taste so nice by cooked this way....must try it out, i feel unique but some of my friends said taste weird...hahaha...food really depends one...
Sour Sweet Steam La La 酸柑蒸拉拉 (RM18) -- It was slightly sour but I like it =)
French Bean with Sambal 桂豆苗 (RM15) -- The sambal was nice and is great when have it together with the crab rice.
Guinness Stout Spare Ribs 黑狗排骨 (RM20) -- It was just normal ribs but taste good

After existing the Bukit Tambun toll, drive on till you reach the roundabout, take the 3 o'clock turn and keep left (do not go up the flyover). Take the first turn on your left. Immediately after the turn into Jalan Paboi, you will see the restaurant on your right.

Variety of HomeMade Sushi

Last weekend, my sis back from KL in conjunction with Deepavali celebration. Since long weekend so she suggested to made own sushi as she is one of the sushi lover as well as her “bear bear”. Of course she had her special “shi fu” just beside and guided her. I just sit beside and learn together. Actually is quite fun to made the sushi but got a lot of work preparation to come out those yummy sushi. Luckily, my family all comment taste very nice and said is up to the standard. Heheh….Maybe I can do it myself next time to make sure I had passed the sushi course…hahah…

All the necessary material like vineger, nori and etc
Sushi rice. "shi fu" said this is the most important for sushi
Made any type of sushi base on what you prefer
Various type of ingredient for the sushi later
Variety of sushi...Yummy yummy

Preparing for the sushi rice:
Ingredients: 500 ml Sushi Rice, 60 ml Rice Vinegar, 30 ml Sugar, 5 ml Salt
(Note: the amounts used in the vinegar mixture may vary depending on the individual sushi taste)

1. Wash the rice several times until the water runs fairly clear when draining. Let your wash rice strain for 30 minutes. Transfer the rice to rice cooker and add the measured water.
2. Cook the rice. While the rice is cooking, combine the vinegar, sugar, and salt in a separate bowl.
3.When the rice is done, let it stand for about 15 minutes.
4. Place the rice in the tub and slowly pour the vinegar mixture evenly over the rice. Use the wooden spatula in a slicing motion to thoroughly blend the rice and vinegar mixture. Be careful not to press the rice with the wooden spatula.
5. Keep the tub in a covered container maintaining its temperature around body temperature.
6. Sushi rice done and can start made the sushi base on your ingredient.

Vintage Bulgaria Restaurant @ Penang

Recommended by friends and some of blog’s comment so had a friend’s birthday celebration at Vintage Bulgaria that located next to Ingolf,Tanjung Bungah. From the name, you can know that there is Bulgaria cuisine. When we just arrived at the restaurant, the waiter just served us to the lower ground of the shop. The warm lighting and the interior design made the environment cozy and cottage-like. Hmm…very suitable for a romantic meal. Btw, there is upper floor which has both dining and bar area. This area is more suitable for the events or friends gathering.

Overall I like the environment and I like the food too =)

Mineral Water (RM3.50) -- Just get to know that there was not free warm water served
Set Dinner included the bread with butter
A large cup of carrot soup was served after the bread which also included in the set dinner. You may refer to the server for the soup of the day
Garden Salad -- Variety of fresh seasonal vegetables with homemade dressings. You can choose either salad or soup of the day as appetizer for the set dinner.
Bulgarian Shashlik (Chicken or Pork) RM61 -- Skewered meat and vegetables grilled to perfection. The taste was nice but feel like the portion slighly big but for the meat favourite like me sure have no problem. Heheh...
SeaFood Platter (RM65) -- An assortment of cooked prawns, fish fillets, squid and mussels. I like the mussels and prawn so muchie. The taste was good and the seafood was fresh enough. Yummy...
Dessert of the day. You can refer to server when you order for the set dinner. Maybe we are full at the end so i felt this was just a normal cake, nothing special
